Install or update Airloom

1. Download Airloom 1.3.0 (12) and open the ZIP.
2. If Airloom is already running, choose Quit Airloom from its menu. Closing the window is not enough.
3. Drag Airloom.app into Applications, replacing the previous version if needed.
4. Open Airloom from Applications and accept the normal macOS downloaded-app confirmation.

The download is signed by Makepad and notarized by Apple. Requires macOS 26 or later; supports Apple silicon and Intel. Airloom 1.3 and later offer Check for Updates in Settings, with signed updates and release notes. Automatic checks are optional. Older versions need this one-time manual update.

Existing pairing is retained. When switching from TestFlight, use only the copy in Applications; macOS may ask you to confirm access again.

Pair your purifier

1. Keep your Mac and Wi-Fi purifier on the same local network.
2. Open Airloom and choose Sign in with MyDyson, or Pair a purifier in Settings. Use the account already linked to your purifier.
3. Select your account region and request a verification code. Enter the emailed code and your MyDyson password in Airloom.
4. Allow Local Network access when macOS asks. Your local pairing credentials are saved in Keychain.

Requires macOS 26 or later and a compatible purifier. Currently verified with a TP09-family device; other models are not guaranteed.

Dashboard and history

Select a sensor card to view its history. Airloom retains up to 30 days of readings on this Mac, across app restarts. Today’s readings are sampled at most once per minute; older readings use five-minute intervals. Export CSV saves all seven sensors with UTC timestamps. Exported files remain until you delete them; Dyson cloud history is not imported.

Additional controls and filter readings are available when supported by the paired purifier. Changes wait for device confirmation. Custom oscillation supports fixed direction or sweeps of at least 30°, within 5–355°. The device sleep timer supports up to nine hours. Weekly schedules require your Mac to be awake and Airloom running; missed times are skipped and schedules do not sync with MyDyson. Device maintenance remains in MyDyson.

Optional remote access

Pair with Include remote access through Dyson cloud selected, then choose Dyson cloud or Automatic for the purifier in Settings. Credentials remain in Keychain. The connection label identifies Local network or Dyson cloud. Your connection choice is saved. Automatic tries local access first and permits cloud fallback. If remote authentication fails, pair again; local pairing remains available if Dyson does not return remote credentials.

If sign-in fails

Check your email address, account region and internet connection. Use Start over to request a fresh code if the previous code expired. A device-list download failure preserves your existing saved pairing.

If the purifier is unavailable

Check that your purifier is online and on the same network as your Mac. In System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network, allow Airloom. Return to Airloom and use Connect or Refresh.

Stale readings are not live measurements. If a change was not confirmed, refresh and check the reported state before retrying.

Menu bar and Control Center

Closing the window keeps Airloom running. Choose Open Airloom from its menu bar item to return to the window. Quit Airloom stops local connections and integrations.

macOS offers Airloom’s Power, Auto Mode and Open Airloom controls through System Settings → Menu Bar → Add Controls. Choose a paired purifier for each toggle. Airloom must be running and the purifier available.

Optional MCP integration

Airloom provides copyable configuration for compatible desktop clients. Add it alongside your existing client settings. Device operations require the identifier returned by list_devices. Fan speed accepts 1–10 and selects manual mode.

If the integration says Open Airloom, launch the app and check the purifier’s connection. Your client may send tool results to its provider; review its privacy and tool-approval settings.

Remove saved pairing

Choose Forget paired purifiers to delete Airloom’s saved Keychain pairing, local history and schedules, and disconnect its sessions. This does not delete your Dyson account. You can sign in again to pair.

Notifications, presets and history

Settings includes optional sustained PM2.5 alerts, filter reminders and quiet hours. Notifications are off by default. Choose a history range and point at the chart to inspect saved readings. Save current powered-on controls as a named preset; applying it turns power on and confirms each change. Weekly schedules show their next occurrence and report missed times without replaying them.
